This lamp repair kit includes all of the required lamp parts for fully rewiring a conventional reflector style floor lamp. Reclector style floor lamps are distinguished from regular floor lamps in that they typically have a center-mounted mogul-size socket surrounded by an I.E.S opal glass reflector shade. The opal reflector shade itself is usually surrounded by 3 standard (edison) size candle sockets which may be "turned on or off" independant of the large mogul socket.
The design of the reflector floor lamp is very handy in a larger room and may function as a task light or a light for general illumination.
