Unfinished steel fixture stem or lamp pipe. Lamp pipe is of good quality and made with a heavy wall thickness. These fixture stems and lamp pipe are very useful in making lamp arms for industrial and mid-century modern style lamps and fixtures.
Pipe measures 3/8 inch outer diameter, 1/8 IPS male thread with 3/16 inch length of thread on both ends. The 1/8 IPS male thread is cut straight with no taper so that the threading "disappears" into the lamp body or cluster into which it is inserted, allowing you to make a neat, seamless connection with no exposed threading.
